PETE HOLTERMANN
This is not Pete Holtermann's first credential, but it is among his earliest, and it is his first in tennis, a sport in which he has since worked in for more than 15 years.
His earliest credentials came as a ballboy at Marquette University basketball games in his native Milwaukee. He then attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, and quickly began collecting credentials as a member of campus's weekly paper, The Xavier Newswire.

Even before graduating he sought opportunities to do announcing for local sports, often at high school events on cable access television, while also picking up occasional writing assignments for various newspapers, including some regular work with the Cincinnati Enquirer.

He switched from journalism to public relations to become the Assistant Sports Information Director at his alma mater. After four seasons, he joined the ATP Tour following a half dozen years volunteering at what is now the Western & Southern Open.

Following five years with the ATP, he put out his own shingle, starting HolterMedia in 2008 to provide media operations, public relations and social media to a variety of event clients.

A portion of his lifelong credential collection, which normally resides in two 15-quart Sterilite boxes, can be seen on the homepage of this website.

"Credentials Only" is his first podcast.
